A beautifully pixelled piece that captures the the playfulness of the scene perfectly.

Description
An entry for #ee-motes themes 'movies'
Before I made my previous Wall-E emote, this happened to be one of the first ideas I attempted, but soon pushed to the side; afterwards I decided to give it a go after all. And after some stupidly annoying attempts this was the final outcome. Also a valid reason why I remember why I hate animation so much
I wanted to try not to rely on transparency but I needed it in the end with Eve's trail. And Wall-e's extinguisher trail was easily one of the harder things to make fluid. Although the matching of all the animations at once to make it look smooth in itself was a challenge, in total I counted over 10 separate animations altogether to make it
WIPs for curiousness can be found here : sta.sh/21kgiah57e1z ( large files)
- 12 frames
- 52 files (of tests, animation files etc) (about an extra 20+ deleted)
- 78 layers on Gimp for the animation
- Mixture of use of MSPaint, Gimp, Sai. Pixelling, animation, colour-picking respectively.
- 2 weeks work, on/off daily
I am aware there are some other entries for various contests recently already similar (not including mine); at the time I didn't even realise, and later when I did I already had this in progress, it is not meant to be anywhere near a copy
A DD?! I thought I miss-read a comment at first
Thank you very much to `Endorell-Taelos for the suggestion and ^SparklyDest for the feature!
Thank you for looking!
